ABOUT THE TRUCK AND BUILD:

Q: Is this Optimus truck one of the originals? Was it ever used in the films or on screen?

A: Optimus Is Here is a fan-built replica. It is a street-legal truck that is regularly driven to a destination. It does not transform in the physical sense, nor has it ever been used on screen.

Q: Did you obtain legal permission from the trademark owners to build Optimus Prime?

A:  YES -  Optimus was built with official legal permission from Hasbro (thank you HASBRO!!!). Hasbro also granted us permission to share Optimus with fans around the world while supporting charitable organizations. Permission that most other movie vehicle owners do not have. That is why we remain very grateful for Hasbro's willingness to help support this impossible dream.   

Q: I am interested in building my own movie replica vehicle. Are you willing to share the details of your build and what it took to obtain permission from Hasbro?

A: Unfortunately we can not share the logistics of our build or the details behind our permission to do so.  We also will not provide contact names within Hasbro, or any information for those who assisted us during this approval process. But congratulations on your interest in building a replica vehicle! We encourage everyone to follow those dreams, and certainly wish you the best in your journey! 

Q: Where is Optimus located?

A: The Optimus replica truck is based in Pennsylvania, but regularly travels all over North America and Canada for family-friendly events while also making stops at elementary schools as part of our Rise Up To Bullies initiative. We are even open to considering appearances around the world. If you are hosting a family-friendly event and are interested in welcoming Optimus or any of our partnering vehicle or cosplayers, please send us a message.

APPEARANCE AND EVENT LOGISTICS:

Q: What types of events can you do?

A: We have made appearances at all types of community events and conventions. Comic cons, truck & car shows, fundraisers, parades, and indoor auto shows encompass just of a few of the more popular ones. We also make stops at elementary schools , children's hospitals, under-privileged children's homes, food pantries, and more. As long as your event or proposal is safe and FAMILY-FRIENDLY for all ages, we are open to exploring ways to get Optimus there for you. 

Q: Is there a schedule online of upcoming appearances that Optimus plans to attend?

A: YES! We typically announce most public appearances on this page of our website, and we encourage you to check it often for updates. 

Q: What are the costs involved to hire you?

A: The costs to hire us depend on over a dozen factors. For example, are you looking to hire the truck? Our cosplayer? KITT? Bumblebee? A combination? Also, where are you located? How long is your show? Can the venue accommodate us? ETC. If you are interested in receiving a quote, please send us a booking inquiry and we will happily walk you through our questionnaire to obtain all of the information we need.  But please note: we will NOT drive Optimus to your location in exchange for the reimbursement of "break even expenses" such as diesel fuel, comped meals, or hotel coverage. Fees for hiring our entertainers do apply!

Q: What about private events, like birthday parties or corporate events. Can you do these?

A: YES...but only to an extent. We do consider attendance at corporate and certain private events, but we unfortunately no longer offer birthday party visits or drive-by stops for children unless under very special circumstances. Depending on the nature and location of your private event, we may or may not be able to accommodate it. Feel free to send us a message with more information so we can evaluate options further.

Q: Are you willing to stop at other locations while in town for our event?

A: We certainly want to make these trips to your town both worthwhile and memorable. Depending on timing, location, reasons, etc., we are always willing to entertain stops at other locations nearby if they are appropriate and within reason. In fact, we have already led several successful promo tours through various towns and cities to help promote an upcoming event that has welcomed Optimus! And we often stop at elementary schools to encourage kids to join our anti-bully campaign, which virtually always gets the attention of the news and media. Q: Are you partnered with other vehicles or cosplayers that can also attend our event?

A: YES! we now include an 11-Foot Optimus Prime cosplay as an option with our appearances. And we still have plenty of connections to vehicles such as Bumblebee, along with other professional cosplayers around the country. Not to mention our personal favorite non-Transforming partner is K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider! 

CONNECTING WITH US:

Q: Do you have a mailing address, or some place where my children can write to Optimus?

A: YES! We love receiving fan mail. Whether it's a letter, artwork, question, donation, or anything in between, we have a mailing address set up specifically for this purpose.
